Question

I had a dream last night that my skin under my left eye was being cut with a razor blade?

when I woke up (the pain woke me) I had actually been cut in the same place I had dreamt of. The cut still hurts now (9 hours later) it was bleeding and I had to put ice on it to keep swelling down. Has anyone else heard of this or had something similar happen? Everyone keeps saying it was probely one my cats or girlfriend or myslef, but I cut my nails and filied them and cut the cats before bed and my gf has very very short nails also. There is nothing around my bed that could have fallen or hit my head on (I looked this morning trying to make sense of it).

My friend had a simiular dream to yours. A dragon had set his whole entire back on fire and he was screaming when he woke up he could'nt walk because his back was hurting extremely bad he had to walk with a cane for a week.

Yes, I have heard of it happening to others and it has happened to me.  I have MS.  I have gone to bed with everything as usual and no pain.  I have dreamed that I was in pain and woke up to find that I was actually hurting.  Don't spaz.  What actually happened is:  During our sleep, if we are in pain, that pain can invade our dream(s) and wake us up to remedy the situation.  It's not that we dreamed and what we dreamed came true.  Although that phenomena does happen.  I have dreamed 3 times that I was walking without aide and I am more than ready to wake up to that!  LOL

As to what caused your injury, THAT is the mystery.  Unless cut skin even, cut nails can still give a nasty scratch.  You may have been dreaming of a razor when actually your nail was digging in but your subconscious translated the culprit to the feel of a razor.

Despite all the precautions you took apparently something did injure the skin under your eye and the dream was a result of the real event.

That the dream suggested a razor cut was an exaggeration of course, but dreams do that.  You would best know, but what is suggested is that by all the 'precautions' you took of trimming nails on yourself, cats and that your girlfriend has short nails you have some conscious reason to take such measures.  Something in your environment still did this.  It is highly doubtful that the event carries stigmatic implications (spontaneous injury without physical cause).

Consider these points to see if the mystery lightens a bit - and perhaps you will yet pinpoint the culprit (even well-trimmed cat claws can scratch deeply).

um honestly hat sound like you had a dream of what was really happening >>> and it really sounds like your house is haunted not to scare you but i can't make anymore sense of it in the sense of you were being attacked in your sleep you felt the ghost attacking you and you were dreaming about it
