I always choose Obama in the polls but don't plan on voting. Is that the same with most people?

I'm not going to vote because Obama deserves his big break being an African American gentleman but I don't think that he would be best for the country because he is weak on national defense. I always choose him in the telephone polls though.

I am not voting for McCain because I think that he is too old and should just take it easy. So I think that most young people who think that Obama should get a chance because he is an African American won't turn out to vote for him in the election.

We want someone fresh but Senator's Obama and McCain are both not going to bring a fresh view in Washington.

  1. NO  We always Vote! and you're foolish not to.

but being so ill-informed maybe it is better to let others chose.

Weak on national defense is one of those lies Republicans always hang on Democrats so there policies of enriching the industrialized military complex will seem like strong defense. Are you aware of how poorly returning injured soldiers are mistreated.

Obama hasn't been in  Washington long enough to be corrupted.

  2. You are not helping.

    Move to Canada.

  3. If a lot of people did that it would appear as if Obama is ahead, when actually he isn't. That's not really fair. If you don't plan to vote why bother taking the polls. Not that they both

won't continue to work for their votes.  I too believe that John

McCain is way to old to be president, and there are many other reasons he should not be president.

  4. You tell everyone you well vote for Obama as you want to look open It well be just like busing Great down south and in Boston But when it come to Calif 'can't have this we'll start up an organization called bus stop"

  5. so how is not voting going to help? that is lame...

  6. My answer to this is we are faced with what we have. In other words, we may not like the two options we have (nor do I) but the fact remains that those are the two options we have, like it or not. I strongly feel that we should all vote. In my opinon, if you don't vote, you have no right to complain about the status of our country for the next 4 years. You need to decide who aligns most with your beliefs. I am not a huge proponent of both. I voted for others in the primaries. I don't think that anybody should get accolades for their race. If we are going to do that, we might as well reverse the clock 50 years when every white man had more accolades. We should elect somebody based on their ability, their alignment with our own beliefs and our confidence that they can do the job better than the other guy. Whether we want someone else other than McCain or Obama, the fact remains, those are our choices. Which is the best choice of the two?

  7. I have never been asked to choose anyone in the polls and I plan to vote for Obama.  So I cancel you out.

  8. There are other choices besides Obama and McCain.  Vote for one of them.  Vote for someone or forfeit all rights to complaining for the next four years.

Also, there is more than just the President on the ballot.  Your representative to the House and probably one of your Senators will be on the ballot along with local elections, ballot measures, etc...

  9. If there is someone running that I can not stand (Obama) I will vote, vote, vote.  No way would I not vote and just sit on my hands watching the one I can't stand get elected.

  10. I always say if you don't vote, you have no right to complain. Either vote for whom you want, or vote for someone else, but if you don't vote and it doesn't come out the way you want, don't come back asking, "isn't it unfair that Obama lost? What could I have done?" because the answer is obvious.

  11. You should vote...and then you can come on places like yahoo and talk politics rather than giving bum excuses on why people don't deserve to be the president...

  12. I'm voting for
