I always feel sleepy at work, what to do about it?

I have tried coffe, tea etc.

especially that I am always energitec & active in vacations

  1. I also think that you find your job boring, try to do something new (for a change) take a walk in your break. If your job requires a long-time computer-concentration, you have to cut the long-term-concentration by doing anything.

    Drinking coffee and tea won't help much, it'll make you wake up till late and feel sleepy next day. Try drinking water and taking a break.

  3. Maybe you aren´t happy at work? If you are working with something you dont really want to do then it might effect your mental health which might effect you body and thus making you tired.

  4. It has to do with your diet.

    Eat right, more raw veggies and fresh fruit,

    drink more water, gatorade,  

    and exercise

  5. try to sleep earlier than you do

    and dont make hard exercises at least before 4 hours of sleeping time..

    and take cool shower the first thing after you wake up..

    contains fruits to your breakfast... and yes its important to have breakfast !!

    after all it maybe all in your mind, like you feel too tired to pray but not to play..

  6. It sounds like you may be bored with your job.  Maybe you need a change to a position that will challenge you with different projects or assignments or a position where you would be interacting with people.

    Try to make urself more interested in ur work , i mean try to find something in ur work which make you more concentrating,

  9. eat fruits and excersize more to keep you more active and sleep more hours so you wouldnt be as sleepy an if your more active you should feel sleepy you should feel more awake and wanting to move an sometimes chicken or just meat itself gets you really sleepy so eat it every few days cause if you eat everrry single day its gonna get you tired try some salads maybe for a couple days here and there. an some meats every 2 days or more depends how much you looove meat

  11. Avoid sugar and starchy food in the morning. Eat a light breakfast like yogurt, beans(foul) without bread or eggs.

    To test if this works for you eat only yogurt and salad. If it makes a difference with you then you are intolerent to sugar.

  12. If you spend much of your working day sitting down, that's probably the cause of your feeling sleepy.

    What happens after about half an hour of sitting is that your heart-rate slows.  This in turn reduces the amount of oxygen being pumped around your body, including to your brain.  In fact, your blood begins to sink, through the power of gravity down into your bottom.  These two factors mean that your brain gets starved of oxygen which reduces its ability to function properly.  Hence, you feel sleepy.

    The way to counter this is to make sure you raise your heart rate every half an hour.  You can do this by standing up and waving your arms or jogging on the spot for a few minutes until you begin to raise your heartbeat.

    Drinking plenty of water will also stop you from dehydrating.   Your brain needs water more than any other part of your body, which is why you see footballers drinking water during games.  When your brain becomes only 5% dehydrated, your mental capacity goes down by 20%.

    Water and exercise are the keys to an active brain.

    since your old enough and your working you should drink an energy drink you know like bem bem,rasko all thoughs egyptain energy drinks their not that hard to find
