before. So now I'm confused. I used to count for the first day I get my period to the 14 day and that they I assumed that my egg falls down, so I was planning to have s*x that day and three days before. But now I'm confused. Do you think my plan would work??? Any suggestions?

My period came August 12 ( I was expecting it on the 14). So when should I have s*x in order to have the most chances of getting pregnant?

Thank you!!!!

  1. Try this 9 by 9 rules:

    cd1-cd9: infertile/period

    cd10-cd18: fertile/ovulation

    cd19-cd28: pregnant/period

This only applies for 28 days cycle.. Hope this helps!

  2. Your cycle might be changing because of stress. I would keep a chart of all the cycles you have from now on and use them to find an average.

  3. i really like the website mymonthlycycles.com  you can track you period and signs on there and will have a cool date book that shows you your expected fertile times  very helpful  god luck  and try not to try just let it happen  becareful to have s*x every two days not everyday this will avoid uti and pid

  4. If you decided in that cycle to begin TTC the next one, it's probably just excitement and nerves causing you to get AF a tad early.

I think I would start BDing a little earlier than that and continue for several days after as you may not O on CD14. I'd start on about CD8 or 9 (just to be certain) and continue until at least CD18. Every other day is fine. That should cover your entire, possible fertile time. If you O later than that, it won't do any good anyways because your LP wouldn't be long enough and to O any earlier would possible be no good either.

If you want to know when you O for certain, the method that worked best for me would be charting and BBT. BBT can become a major stress, though, so you may want to begin by keeping an eye on your CM. When cervical mucus begins to get slippery and wet (like raw egg white) you are at your most fertile and should be about to O. You've probably noticed it in your other cycles when wiping and thought it was gross (I know I did when I was younger...now I long to see it!) but it's crucial to conception as it helps the sperm live longer (up to 5 days according to some doctors). Without any CM, it may only live around 2 hours according to studies. If you don't see any when wiping, though, don't panic! It's probably still there, just inside! You can check around the cervix for it and also check the cervical position.

If you'd like to know more, there is a fab online handbook at www.fertilityfriend.com with loads of info!

  5. Stress has a big impact on fertility.  I'm sure you hear about women getting pregnant after giving up or adopting.

You may have also just ovulated a day or two early or your body recognized the progesterone was too low (corpus luteum deteriorated early) due to no conception.

Don't assume ovulation is always on cd 14.
