I always hear people saying that xbox 360 doesnt have true 1080p what does this mean?

I am going to get a ps3 so it doesnt concern me however i always hear people saying the ps3 has true 1080p and the 360 doesnt but i also hear peeps sayin 360 can go into 1080p.

To display a PS3 in 1080p, you need an HDTV that supports 1080p and an HDMI 1.3 cable.

fanboys say 360 has 1080p but it doesnt. an update allows it to puff up a 720p display to look like 1080p. it doesnt have "true" 1080p, but 720p on steroids and yes ps3 does have 1080p with an hdmi cable and hdtv

XBOX360 upscales to 1080P so you are not getting the True Quality. Whereas the PS3 Has True HD capability via the HDMI cable.
