  1. Choke down on club, (using same swing) if that doesn't work, check your weight transfer from backswing through impact or move ball back/forward in stance depending on where club hits turf, sometimes when you hit with a "decending blow", you'll take more ground than some houses are built on, not necessarily bad, just harder to control ball flight and distance.

  2. It sounds like to me you are really "steep" with you iron shots.  Steep is where you pick the club up abrutly and return it on a similar angle.  (this swing would look more like a "V" shape).  Try to picture your swing more like a "U" shape.  When people tell you to "shallow out your swing" they are refferring to the first 18-24" away from the ball (backswing) and through the ball (follow through).  Instead of attacking the ball in un up and down chopping motion, they mean to allow the club to travel closer to the ground away from the ball and then down and through the ball.  Hope this helps.

  3. lock your wrists. When you're lining up, bend your wrists back just a little, lock them, keep your arms straight and bend at the shoulder and waist. You don't need a full swing with modern clubs.

  4. your either "hunching" at the ball by bending your knees more than they were at address or your lowering your head as your club comes into the ball.  Anyway your making some part of your body lower during the swing than it was at address. KEEP YOUR HEAD STILL AND IN ONE PLACE.

  5. Making a shallow swing is to make a flatter swing plane. To go more around your body than up and down. Also try this drill. When setting up, move your hips and lower body weight towards the target, but keep your head behind the ball. Maintain this throughout the swing so that on the downswing, you are looking at the back of the ball. This does not work in theory, but it truly does. It also helps with "skyed" tee shots. Good Luck!
