I always over speed for 5 more miles on highway does that cause me a overspeeding ticket?

  1. it could but most likely will not.


  2. The speed limit is the high limit on speed.  Anything over the posted speed limit is considered speeding and could warrant a ticket.  

    Probably 99.9% of officers will not bother if you are only traveling 5 mph over.  There could be that much in speedometer variances at higher speeds.

  4. I would say you are safe. Most states will not stop you for 5 mph over. They might in a school zone or in a residential area. Anywhere else you should be safe.

  5. Any amount over the speed limit is considered speeding.

    The DMV says even if you drive one mile more you can get a ticket.
