alright. let's say you have a restraining order against someone. if they come near you, how would you prove this to the police? can't they just lie and say that they didn't go near you, and get away with it? or what if you lied and said they came near you and touched you or something?

  1. If you were given a restraining order, the judge is required to review the complaint of violating the restraining order in the manner most favorable to you since there was obvious cause for the order in the first place.  If you have witnesses who can testify that the restraining order was violated, so much the better.

It is NEVER a good idea to lie to the police or a judge.
