Sounds like I will be seeing you in a marathon in 8 to 10 years.  Running 5K at your age is great; I applaud you and keep up the great work.  You run in a good respectable time if you are running a mile in just over 6 minute range.  You would beat me hands down in a 5K run as best I do is about 8:30/mile.

    For your age, I would not want you to run any more distance then 5K max.  In fact I would be very careful about how far you run and the training you are doing.  Your body is still growing so you have to be very careful for another 5 – 6 years.  Up to age 12 most programs for children would see you run up to 3K max.  Then from 12 – 16 about 5K max.  When you hit 18, you could consider going all the way to that magic Marathon distance.  

    So go easy for a couple more years, but keep running.   If you really like running find a club in your area and join.  There are many running clubs in cities around North America, offering clinics and coaches.  So good luck looking forward to being beaten by you in a race.
