  1. It is never too late to try. I have seen people doubt their talents before even when they are really good. So let me break it down for you into easy steps.

Before I tell you how to do it, you must know that if you only swim once every month or even down to every week, you don't have that much of a chance. You must be competitive and love swimming in races if you want to become an Olympian.

If you really do have natural talent, you first have to devote yourself to the challenge. Then, you walk, bike, or ask your parents to drive you to the nearest pool every day or every other day if you are really good.

Then, you find someone that looks like a very fast swimmer and challenge them to a race. Then, if you win, congratulate yourself and thank your opponent for racing you. If you lose, always be a good sport and congratulate your opponent. Then, you have some work to do. Train on your different strokes for 2 or 3 hours. Then challenge someone else to end the days training. Repeat these steps for months, and soon you will see some improvement. After a long time, you will get really good.

As I said before, It is never too late to try. Go For It!

  2. Depends. How good are you, how much will you give up for it, and how much do you want it. if you JUST started you better be a quick learner and it's very highly doubted you could make it until you're a lot older, so if you have a good ammount of experience and trained really hard, you might be able to in a couple Olympics.

  3. James, it is never too late unless you believe it is. Dara Torres won a silver medal at age 41 in these Olympic games. You have to first make up your mind to do it. Then you can't let anything get in the way of your training. You have to eat right, practice hard, sacrifice time with friends so you can train, get a coach to help you. You have to find the discipline in yourself to get up early and swim before school. You have to swim after school, and then do your homework. You must believe in yourself even when others may not believe in you. You have to keep focused, and constantly work towards that one single goal.

Is it too late? No. Absolutely try! Good luck. I hope I can be rooting for you to medal some day...

  4. Go for it, and I will cheer for you.

But do it because you love the sport, not just the Olympics.

    Good luck.

  5. you have to earn your way there.  if you want to be in the olympics, no one is going to stop you.
