  1. jus convince her up!!

    Best of luck

  2. You have to show your mum that you can be responsible. Do all the chores she asks you to around the house.

Maybe you could mind a friends pet when they go away and if you show her you can cope and wont get sick of taking care of it. she might change her mind.

  3. First, do you have a younger brother or sister. If you do, then she is probably waiting for your younger sibling to mature. If you don't, maybe you should trying helping out more often. Without your mother telling you to do so. This well give her the right impression and then she might say yes in one more year or so. Hey, one year is better than never.

  4. First, just be completely sure you definitely want this pet and would take full responsibility for it.

Then, think about the pet you want, and what sort of animal would suit your home and lifestyle. For example, if you don't have a garden, or don't have any grass in your garden, a guinea pig or a rabbit wouldn't be a great idea, as both need time to play and eat grass in a run outside. Or, if you are at school and your mum out or at work for long periods each day then leaving an energetic puppy at home alone all day is a little cruel.

Research on the internet or, even better, take out library books on the animal of your choice. The more knowledge you have, the more it will look like you've put some genuine thought into it.

Think of all the objections your mom may have and come up with reasonable answers and solutions to as many as you can.

Be persistent, but always remain calm. Tears and tantrums will only make you look childish and irresponsible, which you obviously don't want.

Give up some of your spare time to do activities that involve you looking after your proposed animal, e.g, walking your neighbour's dog, or looking after your friend's hamster while they're on holiday.

Think small. If it's a puppy you want, ask your mum to consider letting you have a smaller animal, such as a fish or mouse. If you continually take good care of this animal, she may reconsider getting you that puppy, unless you discover you and your fishy friend have an unbreakable bond and are perfectly happy, thank you very much.

But if she STILL won't buy you a real pet, Sea-Monkeys are kinda fun.

  5. Just try to convince your mother that you can handle a pet. I'm also 11 years old and I got my pet by convincing my mother.  GOOD LUCK!!!

  6. i think its better to say about ur liking to pets n wat r the advantages of it , n if at all doesnt agree ask y she dislikes pet ! i think there must any valid reason for her disagreement n i think she also may agree after all ur questions

  7. I think if you tell your mom that if you fail to take care your pet and fail to be fully responsible for it;  unless the pet has to go to the vet she can put the pet up for adoption.

You must also remember that at 11 years of age most of the time you will be at school, playing with your friends, etc.  This means that most of the time your mom will have to be responsible for taking care of YOUR PET.

  8. She is right. You will not be able to look after the pet. It will noly increase her burden. So she will say yes only after she is ready to take that additional load. You can put in efforts to show her that you will share her load after you are back from school. Then she might agree.
