I am 12 & want contacts.?

Question

I am scared about putting them on and taking them off, plus am kinda scared/ grossed out about it touching my eye. Certain people I am embarrassed for them to see my glasses, which makes it hard to see. Should I get them?

hey, i got contacts when i was 11. They were the best thing i ever got. You can't tell they are even in your eyes. When I first tryed them it was hard getting in and i thought "I'm sticking with glasses" then i tryed more and got them in and the next day i got them in again, now i'm around your age and i'm a pro. i hope you try them they are really great and they don't hurt. good luck :D

my 9year old sister uses contacts. so that should tell you that theirs nothing to it!! i wear them as well, its so easy to put in and a lot easier to take them out. and your not actually touching your eye! but you shouldnt be embarassed to wear your glasses either. but if you think your ready, go for it!! theres nothing to it!

It's really not bad at all once you get used to it (which takes about two days once you have them), especially if you get soft contacts.
