I am 13, so is there a way i can stop my period w/o a tampon??

i have a beach party tomorrow but tampons don't work for me. what do i do?

If you mean to catch your flow, I'm sorry honey. For going in the water you need to use a tampon.

Are you having trouble using them? If you can get them before tomorrow, try getting tampons with a plastic applicator and low absorbency. Both Playtex and Tampax make them. I prefer Playtex Gentle Glide. Also get a small bottle of ky lotion too if you are going to the store and spread a little on the tip. If you have to, use another lubricant, preferably water-based, but even Vaseline will do. That will make it more easy to insert a tampon. Good luck and I hope it works out for you.

u don't wanna be stuck without one, you'll be self - conscious the whole party.  just relax and know that BILLIONS of women use them so they can't be all that scary. thats how i got past my initial fear.

Nope, a tampon will not stop your period.  But the only way you can swim is to wear a tampon.  Pads do NOT work in the water.

If you don't like tampons, then pads are your only other option for controlling an existing period.  And pads are a Bad Idea for swimwear and swimming, sorry; that's what most women use tampons for.

okay. wear underwear and a pad. then put your bottoms over your undies. then put shorts over your bottoms. and bring pads and tampons just in case of emergency

Depends what you mean by tampons dont work for you...

If you arent comfortable using them, then just use a few tonight and a couple in the morning to get used to having them in, and putting them in and taking them out.

If you cant use them cause of TSS or something, then all you can do is where a pad and not swim and stuff. (sorta a bummer)
