You will get the random boners a lot until you are around 15-16, then they do not happen as much.  By the time you are 20, the random boners do not happen that much any more.

I'm 15 and I've been getting them since I was 13. I can tell you they aren't as frequent as they used to be, so there is hope. Just hang in there.

Probably the next 1 or 2 years.  This is a normal part of puberty.  Your body is making sure your equipment gets regular exercise, whether you assist or not.
