I am 13 and am i looking for an off ice hockey training routine.?

So i am 13 5"6. i already lift weights 3 times a week.i have a bike pool etc for cardio.and a shooting range in mybackyard.Tell me if you need anything else to know.

  1. Here's a link to a post season hockey training program.  You may want to talk to your coaches and they can help you set up a program.

If there are bleachers anywhere you can do stairs.  Running up and down stairs really helps.  Also ply metrics are a good way to get power when skating.  If you do lots of frog jumps or jumping boxes that can really help.  Wall sits, crunches, and doing sit ups while throwing a medicine ball can help too.  For arms I would do bench press and wrist curls.  Those help a lot.

  3. I'm not sure where you live, however in some areas there are "schools" that teach a sport and each person has his own coach. Look in your phone book or on the net to see if you can find one for hockey. If you live in the south ie. Dallas you will not find one for hockey. In the north ie. Detroit, there are two or three.
