  2. No, because you're 13.

But my high school did it a few years back. Here's the first clip of it I could find to help you out.

  3. My Old Man senses tell me I should have left this one alone, but the question not only surprised me, it baffled and nudged me to at least stop in to check other answers.

I want to be as respectful as I can be, while wondering HOW THE HECK???

I have too assume at least 2 things. Either you are a Mozart type prodigy, or stepped in "something" that smells like flowers.

Sad in a way that you didn't detail the HOW of this, at your age, maybe considering that at 13, Sweeny Todd is not at all an appropriate tale for your age group, perhaps not for your gender, and certainly should not be sponsored or approved of by any adult authorities.

To answer to the detail is impossible, most especially since I suspect no one here can see into the future. I'm more curious as to the NON detailed details, given the work, and your age. I'm not strictly doubting this, as I do those who claim the image of the Virgin Mary on a piece of burnt toast, but if you stepped outside of this situation and looked in, you'd likely be as baffled as I am. I would offer one correction, at least in the wording of the Q. "ON Sweeney Todd". The play is either an adaptation OF SWEENEY TODD, or the work is a Biography of the man, the character, in some historical sense.

Certainly if this is to be believed I wish you all good, but most certainly it is more than a wonder.

Might you have begun your theatrical education when you first felt cognizant thought processes happening? Might you have been born on "The Boards" and lived theater since your first breath? Might any authority figure have noticed some assertive child, running around a rehearsal,  "Directing",,,"Do This Do That"? So many questions, so hard to believe in Santa and/or the Easter Bunny.

If any or all of this is fact, I suspect your life story alone, even up to what age you are, could make a Pulitzer happen. for any of us who are Writers.

  4. Impressive.................................

    But what's the question?

  5. That depends where this play is going down. If you get people excited about it and the word spreads around, you might catch a talent scout in the audience you never know. i love Sweeney Todd btw.

  6. you have something else to add to your resume that shows you are committed to working hard, I don't know if it will further you but it will show your commitment to the craft which is something.

  7. ur 13 i doubt (at the moment) you'll get far in acting at ur age and isn't sweeney todd a little too mature for you and how r u directing?!?!  UR 13!!!

  8. Unless you are going to have agents in your audience and those agents are absolutely blown away, not immediately.

However, the most import factor in the "acting business" is experience, so directing at age 13 is definitely a great place to start! Start a resume now, with your directing work, acting work, and any performance experience and other special skills. Start getting involved outside your high school-- start with community theatres, dinner theatres, and anything else you have available. The more you work, the farther you'll get!

Hope that helps, and best of luck with your play!
