I am 13 and people say I have a beautiful voice.So how can I get noticed.?

I wanna sing more than anyting and I am moving from Chicago to Houston in about 3 weeks.

You can do the next american idol or america has talent something like that. you can try out for something like acting but for signing. Or you can sing the Natinal Athem in a baseball game or sign in your town, or school talent show. Or,

Some ideas to consider....

--Ask to do a solo in your church

--Make an inexpensive demo and deliver it in person to your local radio station.

--Seek assistance from your schools guidance counselor

--Read a book about getting started in the music business

--Find a mentor (someone in your town who sings professionally)

--Sing at places where they have amateur night (if your age permits)

---Lastly....and most importantly, don't give up on your dream!  Remember these three words: Believe. Persist. Succeed.

its almost impossible at your age. there are programs for people in EVERY town though, just need to look around.

but please dont make the mistake hundreds do on american idol and think they are good because family and friends didnt want to tell them they sucked.

it will be a slap in the face if you wait and hear it in front of other people laughing at you.

Well you could start by performing in bars and clubs, and as you are 13, i would suggest you have an adult with you.

Also, talent shows and competitions, i know that America's got talent is on at the minute.

Perhaps send requests into magazines, i have before now and they give some great advice.

I suppose you could also TRY and get a contact number for a music producer, or someone who might give you a contract like simon cowell or Louis Walsh.

Why don't you try out for a theater in Houston for musicals until you can move out of the area. Eventually you will get noticed, but I would get an agent too. Patience is a virtue! And remember, it's hard for a 13-year-old to make it in the real world and also to get paid. I wouldn't expect results for at least another year. You also might want to make a CD of yourself singing.
