I am 13 and took an SAT from Duke 7th grade talent search, can that help me in the future???

I need to know if taking this test will show on my permanet record or wut. I got in the top something. got silver medal

  1. SAT scores apparently get deleted every 4 years. I'm not exactly sure about deleted but they don't appear when you send them off to score reports. Also if your refering to whether the Duke summer program will help you in the future, it sure will, if you stick with it till high school. Generally, the top notched schools only care about what you did during your first three years of high school.


  2. Your actual SAT that you take junior year is what will matter, as you will probably do quite a bit better then.

    As for college admissions, they pretty much only look at your academic achievements that you have done in high school, so although it is very good I don't think that it will really help you much. But, it is a good indicator that you will be successful in the future, and I'm sure you will win many more awards once you're in high school.
