  1. You have to go in person to;

Collin County Tax Assessor and Collector,

    Plano Office

    920 East Park Blvd.

    Plano, TX 75074

It is on the South side of the road a block East of Central Expressway. It is in the same building as the county court.

I would think you would have to be 18 to register it yourself, so bring a parent. If it is for off-road use only, I do not think you have to register it at all.

  2. You don't need to register an off road motorcycle.

  3. Plano does not register bikes.  The Texas Department of Public Safety does that by way of the COUNTY tax assessor/collector. Find the county courthouse and ask for the Tax assessor, Pay the fees and taxes and all that. Show proof of insurance, and have it safety inspected ($10.50) and pay the sales tax (8% of the total sale price, $8 minimum) and pay the approximately $55 registration fee, they'll have you on your way in a matter, of well, a few hours.

If you need a license plate they will 'Give" you one. (As you can plainly see, they give away NOTHING.)

If you did not get the notice of fees, and such sent out annually, you need to find out why. Unless the machine is NEW, and then they will add you to the system, and remove the previous owner.  Enjoy your government at work.  This is one thing they do WELL!

  4. All you need to drive off road is to keep it running

But you cant ride it on the street

  5. I live in Fort Worth! Go North Texas!

Anyway, I think in the state of Texas you need to be either 16 or 18 to drive a motorcycle. Unless you are talking about a dirtbike or something. Then you don't need to register it unless you will be driving it on roads or something.

You would go to the Plano courthouse and ask. But I don't think you are old enough to!! (i'm 14 too! go 14!!)

    Have a good day!

    :D

    [edit]

I just saw your detail. You aren't legal to be driving it on the streets. But if you are just gonna drive it on dirt, then I don't think you need to register it!!

    :D
