  1. if your 14 dont put posts like that any weirdo could set you up

go to derby town and ask around the market for saturday jobs

  2. I suggest that you contact your nearest Connexions Centre.  There is one at 24-32 Carlton street, Hockley, Nottingham, NG1 1NN (Tel: 0115 948 4484).  They will be able to give you free and impartial advice, and may be able to help you find a suitable and safe work placement.

Click on the following link for their opening times.  You can also e-mail them from a link on their website.

Some schools have Connexions Advisers visiting the school on a regular basis.  You could ask one of your teachers whether a Connexions Adviser visits your school.  If one does you could ask to meet the adviser at school.

For more information about the services that Connexions in Nottinghamshire offers to people from the age of 13, start at their home page http://www.cnxnotts.co.uk

Connexions Nottinghamshire is a company owned by Nottinghamshire Learning & Skills Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottingham City Council.

(Connexions is the Government's  advice and guidance service for all 13 to 19 year olds. It is available throughout England).

"Young people aged 13-19 can now get information and any support they need from a Personal Adviser on a whole range of issues important to them e.g. careers education, employment, guidance, training, leisure, volunteering, personal development, housing, finance etc. They can also get help in tackling problems such as drugs, bullying and sexual health."

  3. If you have any ideas about what you want to do when you leave school/College, you could contact a Company and ask if you might go there for work experience because that is what you think you want to do eventually.

Our Vet sometimes has young people in the surgery to give them an insight into the work she does.

If you are looking for a way to earn some money, I'm afraid you're getting on for 100 years too late!  The school leaving age when my father was a lad was 12 and he was apprenticed to a butcher; it was up to 14 when I was at primary school.

About the only thing you can do to raise some extra cash is to either ask your parents if you can earn some extra at home - I had a list of jobs and their value on the fridge for my daughter; if she wanted extra pocket money she would pick something off the list and do, say, an hour of the ironing, weed one of the flower beds, wash the car, and so on, whatever she fancied.

Or you could drop cards into neighbours saying that you need to raise some money for your holiday and would be available for dog walking or something.
