  1. Yes it is too late.  Vegetarianism, just as sexuality, is decided/determined at birth.

  2. It is never too late to become a vegetarian.  What you do need to do if you decide to become one is to make certain that you get complete proteins.

You see, meat generally has complete proteins, but plants generally don't, so you have to eat different foods that compliment eachother to make certain that you're getting all of the proteins that you need.

The proteins of grains combines well with the protein of legumes (beans and peas), so foods like hummus and pita bread go great together.

Also, yogurt and other milk products have complete protein.  Eggs are also a complete protein.

(By the way, I'm not a vegetarian, but a lot of my friends are and some are vegans.)

  3. It's never to late to save an animals life. The earlier the better. I myself am vegitarian and quite happy made I made that lifestyle change.I'm sure you would too.

  4. no,i was 15 when i made the switch,

in the past it was believed that the human body could not survive w/o meat, but with a wonderful thing called soy-protein, meat really isn't necessary anymore.

just make sure you talk with your docotor first so that he/she can tell you how to make a healthy transition.

most doctors actually push for a plant based life-style, so go veg, you'll feel a lot better as well!!!

  5. no it's not to late but if you're considering vegeterianism you should take some iron supplements to substitute the meat. also try some lentil burgers or something as another substitute

  6. how is it to late???????

and you can go veg anyTIME

  7. No, not at all! I didn't become vegetarian until I was 24!

And, no, you don't need meat to survive. You need the protein that many people get from meat, but there are so many other ways to get that. There are beans, nuts and nut butters, soy products, mock meats, eggs and dairy (if you're going lacto-ovo and not vegan), and even some wheat products.

Before you completely make the switch, though, you should learn more about vegetarian diets. The easiest place to start is with this article: www.vrg.org/nutrition/teennutrition.htm.

Then, you can move onto some books. Here are just a few that might help:

    - "Being Vegetarian for Dummies" by Suzanne Havala Hobbs.

    - "A Teen's Guide to Going Vegetarian" by Judy Krizmanic

    - "Vegetables Rock!: A Complete Guide for Teenage Vegetarians" by Stephanie Pierson

    - "Student's Vegetarian Cookbook, Revised: Quick, Easy, Cheap, and Tasty Vegetarian Recipes" by Carole Raymond

    - "The Teen's Vegetarian Cookbook" by Judy Krizmanic and Matthew Wawiorka

So, no, you're definitely not too old to go vegetarian! There are a lot of other teens out there who are exploring the same option, and there's a lot of info available to help you do that! Good luck!

  8. yes it IS because everyone knows humans die at age 15, so yeah.....too bad.

  9. nope, you can be any age..

  10. Good grief I hope not.I was 23 when I became vegetarian. LOL.It's never too late to do anything like that. :)

  11. NO, that's a perfect age! That's how old I was!

  12. not at all.......

you need will power ...that's it!

  13. Anytime it's never too late. Just research beforehand so you don't go about the transition the wrong way, make sure you know all about your vitamins. I was older than you when i turned vegetarian.

  14. no caus ei have been one for 5 weeks and 4 days i like to keep up with how long because it keeps me motavted(spell?)

that can be something to help you to just trying to help

  15. It is never too late.  I am a vegan and I am 38 years old.  I started as a vegetarian two and a half years ago and recently became a vegan.  Just do your research and make sure that you get all the right nutrients in your diet.  Calcium, protein, and b12 are really important for vegetarians.

  16. Even though your still 14, you can absolutely become a vegetarian. You should just have faith in what your doing and follow what ever you want to do. There actually are many people who are around their thirty's and forty's and they decide to become vegetarians, and even some older people also. it's never too late to become a vegetarian, it's just how you see things and ask your self why you really want to become a vegetarian in the first place. Meat is healthy for a person and it does make a person fat depending on how much you eat meat, but a person  who is a non-meat eater can survive and be as healthy as the person who does eat meat. this is because, vegetables contain a lot of iron , protein, vitamins and other nutrients as well. Fruits are also great for vegetarians. It's never too late and don't worry, vegetables actually have more nutrients in them. But if you really are planing to become a pure vegetarian, then try eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.........Hope that helped!!

  17. No its never to late! I became a vegetarian when I was 15.

  18. no actually some ppl turn vegetarian in their 40's and 50's!

  20. it's never to late but you have to be ready for the commitment. some say they are vegans but still eat eggs and fish so how far are you ready to go

  21. no of course not y would u think that? its a way of life that is both healthy for mind and body. can start or stop doing it whenever u feel like it

  22. No, it's not.

  23. Anyone can become vegetarian at any age.

Humans do not need meat to be healthy.

  24. Nope, it's a change in llifestyle that can be done at anytime. Just do it for the right reasons and make sure you replace your protein that you won't be taking in any longer from the lack of meats. Here's a good site on becoming a veggie, hope it helps.
