I think the best way for you to raise money would be to cut lawns through the summer.  You can get  8 to 10 lawns or more, depending on how hard you want to work, charge $25 per lawn or more if they are large lawns, and save this money in a saving account.  8 or 10 lawns will bring you about $200 to $250 every two weeks.  This will make you a little over a $1,000 or more.  Do this again the next year and by the time your 16 you should have well over the $2,000 you want.  Mowing lawns is enjoyable and you can cut lawns early in the day and still have the afternoon/evening off to do things with your friends.  Be your own Boss, treat your customers right and they will want you back and they will refer you to others.

To answer your question, you are going to need a lot more than $2,000. It is more like 7,000-8,000 dollars. Also, concentrate on school right now because you can't solo until your sixteen or get your private license till you are seventeen. So wait until your of age to start your training because you want your training to be over a smaller period of time. The larger period of time of your training, the more hours you need to get your license because you forget things between lessons. This in turn means more money to get your license!!!

But don't give up on your dream! Your schooling is getting you closer one step at a time!!!
