I am 14 years old and i am from liverpool, united kingdom when i am older i want to own a glider?

this is like the glider i want to buy http://www.boeing.com/companyoffices/aboutus/wonder_of_flight/images/glider_hitech_500.jpg what i want to no is how old you need to be to get a licence to fly one? and how much are they to own? also i want to know where in liverpool can i go to have lessons to fly one and the prices?

    you could probably get lessons at johnlennon airport (i think my coisin got his there)

    if not i think definitly manchester.

  3. I think the Air training corps give gliding lessons too young people as part of the programme, there is an ATC near to Ken Dodds house in Knotty Ash.

    "Most activities are free - or at least included in the Squadron subscriptions. So shooting, gliding, flying, sports and other activities are usually all provided free.

    There may be exceptions. For instance, the Diss Squadron arranged a scuba try-dive for the cadets and there was a modest fee for this payable to the dive centre.

    Precise costs for activities will therefore depend upon the Squadron and activity, but you should expect the cost for most activities to be included in the regular subscription amounts."
