  1. Research the Americans with Disabilities Act...unless it specifically excludes airline pilots, it will make it hard for an airline to refuse you...after all, your co-pilot can make the phone calls.

Meanwhile...to maximize your chances of being a pilot...start getting high grades in Math, Science, and Geography.

  2. HeY !! : ) Im 15, im not sure about being an airline pilot, but im taking lessons to get my pilots license. . . I want to be a pilot to !! so cool : )

  3. Well Why not ?

you still have a far way to go. im guessing that by the time you can become an airline pilot you would be fluent in english already.

  4. I don't know if you are required to have flawless speech to become a pilot, but I do know that The Stuttering Foundation of America could help you improve your speech.  That is where our family got help.  Their book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" is what helped most of my uncles and cousins.  One uncle could afford to go to a speech therapist and found one that specialized in treating stuttering by a referral from the Foundation.  He found that she used that book in her sessions!  It is a book to work through step by step rather than just read.  Then you have to practice and practice, but it is worth the effort and time.  You can get it in the estore at www.stutteringhelp.org, at Amazon.com, and at some public libraries.  Go here to meet others who stutter http://groups.myspace.com/stutteringfoun...  Check out this blog, too http://notesonstuttering.blogspot.com/

  5. Look, minor speech impediments and accents aside, your dream of becoming an airline pilot is just that - a DREAM.

Lets be realistic: Finish high school, maybe do some time in the Air Force or Navy, go to college, and then become a cop.

You will ALWAYS have a job, and the pay is not so bad. Plus, you get to drive fast and carry a gun! Plus, you will have enough money to learn how to fly, and therefore you can be a pilot.

    How awesome is that?
