  1. just make sure you remain determined and don't let yourself be pushed around by the boys that are larger than yourself

  2. Its totally possible mate. Some of the games best players are only 5ft+ tall.Your only 15 so my advice to you is workout hard, eat allot of carbs and protein, you will be huge before you know it.Practice your kicking and passing whenever you can.Make up a portfolio of your involvement if football and let your local clubs know that your interested in furthering your career as a player.Nag them if you have to,,persistence pays off.

  3. yes

  4. IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING MATE...........FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS THROUGH I'M SURE I'LL SEE YA SOME DAY ON T.V LIVING YOUR DREAMS THROUGH!!!

    GOOD LUCK=D

  5. Mate, there are absolutely no limits to what you can achieve.

I'm a small bloke as well, I'm only 165cm tall and weigh 65kg. I've been out of school for two years now but, I played for my first XV in rugby union for my school as a hooker, three years in a row. I was always the smallest guy not only on the team but the field and I still managed to keep on par with the other fellas.

My advice to you to play in those very influential roles, is to make yourself appear to be the best candidate.

Practice, Practice, Practice. For those roles you essentially want to focus on your ability to move the ball around the field. Make sure your kicking and passing game is second to none. Get a couple of mates together and just have a big kicking game, make sure your mates are good kickers and get them to give you some difficult marks. Just practice as much as you can.

Do weights to bulk yourself up a bit, run, swim, bike ride, make sure your endurance is right up there.

And mate, one day you could be the next Matt Bowen, and look at Johnathan Thurston, no one wanted him at first he even signed his first contract (with the bulldogs) for no pay at all. Now look at him twice Dally M medal winner, and the best man in the league at the moment. Mate, the sky really IS the limit.

  6. matt orford. matty bowen. joe williams. jarred sammut. preston campbell. Not a big bloke amongst them. keep your head down and your legs pumping and you will go as far as your will and determination can take you. Give em heaps!!!

  7. It's not out of the question mate. There are loads of guys that didn't play in any rep teams but went on to be top players.

As an example, (yes, I know it's union):

John Eales didn't even play 1st XV at school, yet went on to become one of our best ever rugby union players, in fact he's considered one of the world's greatest players.

Everyone develops at a different rate, you may just be a "late bloomer", and perhaps will start to grow rapidly in the next few years. I was always the smallest kid in my class but started to get a lot bigger from about 16 onwards.
