  1. reads books and literature about pharmacists and maybe take 1 college course related to that field during the summer or when your a junior or senior and already have enough courses to graduate.  I took college courses at my local community college the last two years of highschool to add to my education, it helped me out big time.

you can also start signing up for school packages from local schools that offer courses in that and get an idea of the type of classes you'll need to take and begin reading about those subjects.

  2. Make sure you take the appropriate courses in school! You need biology and chemistry, those are your top two right there. You should inform yourself in all subjects you need to take in order to prep for university. Make sure you're able to multitask. Pharmacists are on the phone, while on computer and making notes at the same time. You need to make sure you have patience for this job, and charisma. You'll be communicating with patients all day, and confirming doctor's prescriptions. You'll be on your feet most of the time, so you need to make sure you're able to do that. Pharmacy has to do a lot with memory, so train your brain into memorizing certain things. It'll help a lot. You need to be able to count accurately and fast. Especially when it's those really small pills. Or if you have many pills to count, it can get very frustrating. You need to have patience with a lot of things.

Wish you luck in the future :)

  3. Taking AP or college prep chemistry and math courses will help you. Also, be sure to stay away from illegal drugs so you don't end up with a drug conviction. I'm pretty sure people with a drug conviction cannot be licensed as pharmacists.

    Best of luck to you.

  4. well. for your final years of high school education, you need to choose appropriate subjects, you will need a higher level english, chemistry, biology, human biology and a high level calculus possibly. This will enable you to engage in a pharmaceutical degree, Which various universities offer specialist courses in.

Overall, you are going to have to work hard, but if its what you want to do then it will be worth it. To get ahead, begin reading on what chemicals affect body changes and growths, what type of people this can or cannot help.? things like that.

  5. Take lots of science and math classes, get very good grades, go to college for a biology or chemistry major, and then go to pharmaceutical grad school. The biggest thing is keeping your grades up and liking math and science.

  6. My best answer to you is that you need to take AP courses in your high school years, if you can do this and keep up on an honor roll achievement then you should be good to go. Becoming a Pharmacist isn't going to be an easy thing to do and it takes a lot of years to complete. But if you start of slow and steady and get great grades while you can in high school then you should be able to become a pharmacist when you graduate from high school.

But like i said keep up the good grades, (try your hardest for honor roll) and if you can achieve that then you shouldn't have any problem with going to college for pharmaceuticals.

how this helps you out kid, have fun!!!
