I am 16 and i wanna get a truck. What should i get??????

I want a truck thats decent on gas. It is going to be used so give me a good year. It has to be the size of an f150 or silverado 1500. I dont like the small ones like the s10. I dont know what kind of truck to get.

Well, I have an 06 Tundra, and I average about 20 mpg.

Not great, but it's okay.

And the tank hold about 20-25 gallons.

the best used truck i ever had on gas and for a good truck was a 1986 Ford f250 with a fuel injected 302 and a 4 speed.  it would go anywhere and get 20 to 25 mpg.

No half ton truck with a V8 is going to get over 14mpg, and that's lucky if you get that.  That said the best half ton trucks (i.e. 1500's and f150's) are Chevy's/GMC's and Toyota.  If you want better gas mileage go with the V6 and 2wd unless you want to go 4 wheeling or it snows a lot where you live.  This is the only time you would use 4wd.  Even to go camping these days you don't need 4wd.  2005 V6's will cost you about $10K and get you about 16mpg  Hope this helped.  Also the bigger 3/4 ton diesels get better mpg than if they had a petrol engine but still don't beat half ton petrol trucks unless your towing something.
