  1. You should ask your dentist or family doctor.

  2. The lingual frenectomy can be a simple procedure if you find a dentist in your area that has a Waterlase MD.  If you go to www.biolase.com you can do a search for a dentist in your area that has one.  I don't even think they have to numb you.

  3. Yeah, there is more than likely a surgery. Contact your local oral surgeon for details.

  4. Yes there is,

    it's called a frenectomy.

  5. There is a definite way that this can be corrected.  I wouldn't even call it a surgery.  They basically deaden the area and clip it.  Some of the medical staff when my twins were born told me about it because their skin flap extends a little further than normal.  The pediatrician didn't think it was necessary in their case, though.  I think that it will be uncomfortable after wards, and you may even have to do a liquid diet for a few days, but if it is what you want long-term, go for it.  It probably could be done by your family doctor in his office.
