I really want a Range Rover but my dad said no because they are gas guzzlers, so I was interested in the Infiniti G and M series. Any other suggestions, please explain why and a price range. Thanks!!

I live in New York

  1. Lamborghini Murcielago.

    Some say from $175,000 - $2,000,000

  2. the vehicles you are mentioning are not only expencive, but are unsafe.

I assume your father is flipping the bill, so why not get a corvette while your at it.  ooo yeah he wont let you.

I have three things kids need when choosing a car.

    SAFETY!  no need explain

low passenger capability,  the more kids in a car, the more distracted the driver.

    cool

nothing wrong with a honda civic.  great fuel economy.

toyota ...anything...will last you 20 years if you dont wreck it

subaru...anything...it does snow in new york...and these fuel savy lil all wheel drives stick to the road better than anything.

hyundai...you wont believe this, but they acctualy are going to over shadow honda and toyota for reliability.

nissan/infinity have major downsides, timing goes out prematurly, built for speed, not longevity.

if us makes are on the list...dodge breaks down, chevy leaks, and ford sucks the gas faster than the range rover.

  3. Leasing a car at any time is generally a really bad financial decision.  You should purchase a car that you can afford to pay cash for and that you can replace when you wreck it (you most likely will wreck it).  To that end, a safe, reliable and forgiving car is probably your best bet.  In order to avoid paying for the massive depreciation that happens when you leave the car lot, you should look into a pre-owned car that is 1-2 years old.

Leasing costs more than buying, and suckers you into getting more car than you can afford, and then locks you into that cycle when you drive it too much, damage it, or otherwise violate the lease agreement, which is easy to do.

  4. First, I assume you know you can't lease yourself -- that your dad will have to lease the car. You must be 18 to get a loan or lease, or buy a car.

Second, Range Rover / Land Rover is not a good choice for a teenager. The brand is not very reliable and you'll spend a lot of money and time in the repair shop. Infiniti G series is a good choice.

Third, leasing is usually not good for teens since they typically drive more miles than leases allow -- about 15K miles per year. And you don't understand how leasing works, or are not willing to learn, it's best not to lease. If you want to learn about leasing, the following web site might hekp:
