  1. People search (http://www.peoplesearch.com/ ) you can find a lot of people, just the other day I typed in the name of a former neighbor in many cases you have to pay a fee for this information and the prices varies on which package you choose to get obviously the most costly will contain far more information. You typical can get the current address of the person, past address, phone numbers even relatives of the person, DOB, current age. Etc.

I’m not sure I would suggest just calling out of the blue, if you find the address where your birthmother lives then I would simple send her a letter, or in some cases you can even get peoples email address. However it is wise to prepare for anything.

There are many other people search sites just do “People Search” in a search engine.

  2. all i can tell u is go on the internet and look for website so u can search for her... put her whole name in and it should work.... sorry but tht is all i no

  3. Go to this website:

    http://www.whitepages.com/person

then just punch in her first and last name, if that doesn't work try the married name.  You do not even need to know a state.  I am a college student and move a lot, when I punch in mine it gives the last 3 addresses I have lived at.

I hope that works, I'm adopted too and used this site to find other relatives (my parents are both dead).  It is really a great search engine for people.

  4. Were you adopted through an agency?  You can always start there.

Another good suggestion I can give you (if you're ready to do some research)...go to www.intelius.com and enter her name and state in there.  It will bring up a list.  From there, you can go to www.whitepages.com and see if you can find some matches.  Then send letters, or try the phone numbers listed.  I was adopted, and did find my biological Mother in 1999.  I also found my bio-father, bio-half sister, and bio-half brother, all in different places.  I found them using these sources, and then..if you can believe it, myspace.

If I can help in any way, don't hesitate to ask.

  5. I had my last name on some adoption papers and it took me just mins to find mine. If you have the names you can do a background check on her for a small fee. I did it for 10.00 and made the call. There is a lot you need to know b-4 you make the call. It can be the best experience  (like mine) or it can hurt. Make sure you talk to those who have made those calls. You have choices.....Good Luck and may your search be a positive one.

If you have questions or need help, you can contact me. This is something you need to wait till you're 18 unless you have support from your adopted family. There are thing you need to know and think about b-4 during and after your search. Just ask. If I can help I will. Good luck!

  6. see what gersh said, and also check intelius

  7. I'm kind of going through that too except my family is in Russia but I think theres an advantage to her being in the US. What my dad has always told me (and again its probably diff for u since she's in America) but he always told me what would you say/do if u were to meet them? anyways basically what I've done is just looked things up online I mean asking ur parents is another great way becuase they might know Hope it all works out for u!

  8. http://www.adopteerights.net <<< click on searching

click on colordao and you'll get some tips for help!

    Must useful probably being: http://www.adopteesearch.info/

    Thats by a colorado adoptee.

http://www.blackbookonline.info << name and address tracker w/ state record information as well.

    www.isrr.net is also great.

  9. There's lots of places but after the 'tease' they want money..

I think maybe they're legit but don't know.

What about the agency?  If you both have signed to look for each other, they get you together!

You have enough to find her but what about money, say, like a PI?
