in most states, yes. you are a minor, it is considered statutory rape even if you consent, she could be arrested and have to be listed as a s*x offender. wait until you are  18

In some states, yes.  Just dating a minor is a crime in some states.  In others, there is a 2 year age difference maximum.  If you are even thinking about having s*x, DON'T.  It's called statutory rape, and she can go to prison, and have a felony conviction for the rest of her life.  It isn't up to the minor, or their parents on whether to press charges or not.  It's up to the District Attorney.

I would recommend waiting to date until you are 18.  Then, there is nothing illegal, and no one risks anything.

In order for there to be any real consequences your parents would have to be the ones to press charges. So if they are cool with it don't give it too much thought. How long have you been together? That could matter too. Since statutory rape has a long Statute of Limitations and charges could be filed retroactively.

Not to be together as in date, but in a few states she could be charged with statutory rape if you have s*x.  Most states have a clause that allows for people in their younger twenties to be with someone over 16, and in some states, like Texas, 17 is the age of consent.  I would tread carefully and check my state's individual set of laws before engaging in any sexual activity.  Here's a link:

Depends the state you live but in a general way

17 means you can't have s*x(she can have problem in some states)/marry or go in a club or bar

But you can enlist in army and get kill :p No problem for this

I don't know whether you're legally allowed to get married, but you can definitely be together, wait for 4-5 years or until you're mature enough to get married.

Okay, first of HE is the minor, not her.

But anyway, i don't think it is illegal actually. I heard somewhere that a four year age gap is illegal. Like if she was twenty one, maybe. I'm not sure if this is true or not- but I wouldn't worry. It may be illegal but as long as you aren't going to hold it against her or try to bring attention to it, who cares.
