  1. you just started but you got accepted in to an academy?!?

    wow

    but anyways

probably not on the international lever, sorry, because most pros go pros in their late teens or very early 20's

its not impossible, but like almost almost almost impossible

and one question for you... how do yo know your crazy about it, when you never *really* played before?

  2. Probably not, unless you're a prodigy.  In most countries state sponsored organizations pick you up very young and give you coaching and the like.  If you live in the US you have to figure all that stuff out on your own, either with expensive lessons from mediocre coaches or your own hard work, but still from a young age.

Plus there's the puberty thing.  You wouldn't believe it now, but your body will still change a lot between 17 and 25.  I'm much less mobile now then I was 5 years ago.

  3. I started snowboarding when I was 22, first time from atop the austrian alps.... i almost broke every bone in my body.... but i feel in love with the sport, adicted to it... my body craves it... and now.. I am pretty much a pro.  Been all over the world.  And i dont regret going after something my soul loves.  DO THE SAME!!  The meaning of life is Happiness... BE HAPPY!!!  Play Tennis..... Dont let the ball conquer you... you conquer that ball.

  4. If you practice for 6-7 hours everyday you will burn yourself out quickly and possibly face lots of injuries.

  5. You'll be putting too much strain on yourself.

But don't give up! Of course nothing's impossible!

I'm 16 and I'm trying to have a tennis career too! (Only national though... and maybe if I'm older I'll teach some young kids)

    Good luck to us!

    Cheers!

  6. Depends on a few different things. 1) How athletic are you? If you're not genetically athletic, it's going to be a tough road. 2) How natural does tennis comes to you. 3) What kind of coaching are you going to be getting?

Most pro tennis players start very young, some before they even start school. So by the time they're 17 they may have 10-12 years experience on you. It's going to be very tough, imo, but follow your dreams.

  7. You should play tennis to enjoy it.  At 17...even if you have amazing talent; there would be kids several years younger and more talented.  It's a lovely game, enjoy it.

  8. Many of the great players start before their 5th birthday.....
