Question:

I am 17 years old and have a residing hair line ?

Yeah like it says above, but is it normal? What could cause this? My friend thinks that its normal but I think its not. h**l, I don't even know if its a residing hair line, but my dad says it is. It looks like a curve going down on the top right of my forehead. If needed futher info I can provide.

  1. Sorry, but your dad is probably the wise one here. Are there bald men in your family? Prematurely thinning/receding hair is genetic, so there may not be much you can do about it. My younger brother started losing his hair when he was in college. At 28 he is almost completely bald :(

    Here are some things you can do, though:

    Go to  your doctor & ask her to do bloodwork ~ this will rule out any physical causes for the thinning hair.

    Start using Rogaine. Yeah, it sounds awful, but it really does work.

    Nioxin is another good shampoo/conditioner for people with thinning hair. It won't regrow hair like Rogaine will, but it does stop you from losing excess hair & will make existing hair stronger & thicker.
