I am 17 yrs old and i wanna travel with my m8 who 16 next yr by plane would we need an adult to travel with us

we was wounderin if he had to travel with an adult or what and what the age for us to travel by our self is in the uk to place in europe like spain or places like them please help asap

from ages 12-17 or 15-17 it is optional to travel as an unaccompanied minor or not.

^these are two different airlines' policies for unaccompanied minors, so others may be different, but still similar in their policies.

I think you would have to be 18 years old, and considered adult before you're allowesd to travel by plane alone.....and you would stand no chance of booking a holiday anyway.

i dont think u need an adult. i know of people who travelled by themselves when they were in primary.

I don't think you HAVE to travel with an adult, but the airline may need written consent from a parent or guardian

it depends on the airline, and where you are staying.  Some airlines in the US say you are an "unaccompanied minor" if you are 16 (or younger), some say 15, some 12.  U.M.'s always pay more for seats.  And some hotels may not be willing to give a  room to a couple teens.  You may consider staying in Hostels, but be careful, and make sure to have most everything planned out in advance

nope, but you will both need your parents to type up letters of permission and take them to a ntoary (or lawyer) for signing.  Your parents can not sign unless they are in front of a notary and then they will stamp it.  I would recommend bringing 2 letters each (in case one gets lost).

Now at your age you guys SHOULD be fine, but I will warn you that when you get to the airport have your parents come check in with you (at least one set, the other person's letter must specify who they are with at the time, and who will pick them up whent hey return).  After your parents and you check in the airline MIGHT assign an employee to stay with you while in the airport, and another one at the airport when you land.  Kind of like a babysitter.  Again, at your age you should be fine, but don't be too surprised if they do.
