I have had lumps in my b*****s for a long time, and they are really sore whenever I touch it. I am pretty sure it's not breast cancer...because that usually would start showing (if i had it) in my 30's. Also, my b*****s are small for the average 18 year old, and the lumps are about the same size as them (a ://)

I don't know what details would be important to share, but if anyone can give me any kind of ideas, that would be great, thank you!

  1. Go see a doctor just to be sure. I don't think anyone can be to young to get Cancer. My gf had breast surgery at age 25.

  2. Everyone has lumps in their b*****s.  It is generally normal but if you are really freaked, bring it up at your next annual or doctor's visit.

  3. You can never be too sure, I'd go to the doctor! You can get breast cancer at 18, but it is MUCH, much rarer. I've linked a site below, that talks about all the different things that the lumps COULD be caused by. They might be harmless, but it is better to be safe then sorry. Book an appointment and go and get it checked out! :)

  4. It's just hormones, u r still growing

  5. Firstly, and not to frighten you, but you can have breast cancer as young as 18 or even younger.  Secondly, to give you piece of mind, it's probably not breast cancer.  Breast tissue gets tender at different stages in  your menstrual cycle.  Some people have Fibroadenomas in their b*****s.  They are especially  common in young women and some doctors even link them to caffeine. These are just benign lumps of cells.

My recommendation is don't panic.  Call and make an appt with a gynecologist.  You should be seeing an OB/Gyn every year now that you are 18 anyway. Show the doctor your lumps and let him/her give you their assessment.

If you don't have health insurance you can go to family planning, they have a sliding scale for payment and they can give you a full check up whether or not you need birth control.

  6. It may be nothing, but I would get it checked out. It could be benign fatty tissue built up from trauma that might have occurred, it could be anything, but it doesn't hurt to go to the doctor to check it out.

  7. Stop eating the glowing pudding.

  8. First off, you can get breast cancer at 18. Don't listen to cocky people telling you otherwise. If you have a medical book anything, you can even google it, you can look up self-breast-examinations. Once you hit late teens, we're recommended to self evaluate ourselves. But look that up, and if you're still not sure, you need to go see your doctor. He'll more than likely refer you to have an MRI. Good luck.

And wow, whoever said OBGYN needs to go back to school. OBGYNs are for pregnant women and birthing.

  9. i'm in my mid 20s and i have some. i already went to two doctors just to have a second opinion. both of them told me that lumps come and go during one's period. they told me that i should observe them if they are growing or not. if i wanted to be sure, i can have a biopsy; but i opted not to have that.

one of them also said that if the lump cannot be moved during muscle movements, then it's probably just hormones.

    hope that helps.

  10. it could be little balls of fat

  11. At your age, it most likely is not. However, I would still go to a doctor just to be sure.

  12. Are they right in the center of your breast all the way against your rib cage? I had those when I was a teen and my mom just said they are just hormones and would go away and they did.

  13. If you're 18, you should be seeing a gynecologist. They check you for breast lumps and signs of breast cancer. I'm sure if you had any questions you could just ask your gyno.

  14. okay the lumps you have are the same size as your breast ?

could it be your milk glands for babies ? that's where your breast milk comes from when you get pregnant.  anyways  do they always hurt ?

i mean how long have they hurt for  could you be pregnant?

anyways if i were you i would go to the doctor lumps in your breast are no joke !!

  15. if its on both them its unlikely its cancer, i think its normal breast tissue. sometimes they can hurt and get swollen like a week before your period. totally normal... breast exams should start at 20 yrs old! if they feel wrong or keep on hurting get them checked out just to be safe
