I am 18. How long will it take for me to be able to get my license in California?

I don't know the steps. I don't know what to do!! What are the steps I need to take and are there restrictions? Is their anything else I need to know? My goal is to get my license and know how long I need to wait.

go to the DMV, Fill Out your Application for a License, you can take your written test that day usually, sometimes make an a appointment. then you have to wait 6 months and take your Behind the Wheel test.

It shouldn't take long, all you need to do is study the book for the written test, and do very well on driving.

get you book from the DMV.

if i remember correctly you can get it now but you must complete DE and DT within a certain time period. Consult the CA Driver's handbook.
