I am 18 and I do not have my license

Question

I want to get my permit first but I cant figure out how to apply using the online California DMV website. Anyone know how?

study for you test really hard.  Go to the DMV  because its easier in person.

Just go striaght to DMV and go through the lessons and tests. Best you take manual transmission driving tests, because it'll give you the advantage of driving any car of any transmission, unlike auto that restricts you only to auto driving...

There nothing to apply online.

(1) go to DMV and pick up driver manual

(2) study

(3) go back and take the written test - pass

(4) with the learner's permit practice driving

(5) you might have to take the 5 hour class

(6) take the road test - pass

(7) be happy.

You apply by taking the written test - and that you MUST do it in person at DMV.
