I know that's a hard question to answer, but... I had the worst arm pains in the world, I didn't even want to move I was in so much pain, I took one muscle relaxer. I will never EVER take anything else again, but I was wondering if you guys knew if it will be okay. I am going to the doctors, but that's in two days. If you guys have any information or advise or anything, I would be so happy if you shared.

  1. Just take tylenol next time or see ur doc FIRST!

  2. You should never ever take anything or any type of medication without consulting your doctor. The only thing you can take is Tylenol extra strength. Do you know that you can harm your baby with these types of medications or even cause you to have a miscarriage. Why would you think of yourself before your baby? Please if you love your baby you would never do this again. Lets just hope and pray that your baby is ok and hopefully this medication has caused no harm.

Oh and just to let you know I meant no wrong to you or your baby. I just hope you understand what I really meant to say instead of getting everything turned around

  3. Was the doctor aware of you taking muscle relaxers??? Normally that is not ok! If the doctor did not prescribe it, then don't take it. As your doctor for a list of meds that is safe during pregnancy. Until then, know that it IS safe to take Tylenol for aches and pains, and Robitussin (in any form) for colds, and Sudafed for allergies.   But, that list can be your best friend during pregnancy. lol  Please call your doctor about the other pill you took, though.

  4. never take any meds without asking your doctor first!!!

  5. well if it comes out retarded or with an extra limb you know why.

  6. do NOT take another one! most muscle relaxant meds are not good for bubs. One shouldnt hurt, but if your in that much pain, take panadol, and no more than 8 a day

When I was pregnant, my doc assured me panadol was totally safe :)

  7. Anything not prescribed by your OB and deemed Pregnancy Safe can cause a health hazard to baby. Drugs like that are usually said to NEVER be taken(until Labor when they give you an epidural and what have you) during pregnancy seeing as it causes potential risks to the baby. Good thing you are going to the doctor...I don't think 1 relaxer will pose maximum threats to the baby but better to get checked out and be safe than sorry. Just like you said do not take any more throughout the rest of the pregnancy and ALWAYS check with your OB before you take any kind of medication.

  8. only tylenol on rare occasions has been proven safe in small amounts. Anything else you need to discuss with your doctor first

  9. Does this help?

  10. that wasn't smart...you need to go online and see what class of drug it is, i can't tell you because you did not provide the name... some are ok during pregnancy and some are not...pls don't do that again....honestly, if i were you i'd go to the er just so they could do a check on the baby.

Oh- and when you do a search with the name of the muscle relaxer, see if it is the type of drug that passes through the placenta (tylenol is not that is why it is safe). If it passes through the placenta then your baby just got an adult size dose of muscle relaxer.
