I am 20 years old, can i still make my body learn acrobat and matial arts?

Is it too late for me to learn this because im old and my bones are fix i think? I want to do leg split, is it possible?

  1. Not too late at all. Just make sure that you are prepared for a lot of hard work ahead of you. I've known many people who began their martial arts training at around age 30-40, and with perseverance they were able to perform the splits after a few years of training. Just remember to take things slowly and do not shock your body into a new transition, with realization that this training is for the long run. Flexibility doesn't come from the bones, but from the ligaments, tendons, muscles, and joints. You might feel like your fixed in the beginning, but with conditioning you will feel as limber as a cat. Find a good martial arts school and good luck.


  2. It'll suck (painful) until you get limbered up but you shouldn't be too old. Sounds like you're looking for classical wushu training. A good yoga teacher can help with that before some karate guy cripples you. Good Luck.
