Lots of states now have an online high school diploma program--and it's good you are trying to do this before you turn 21.  At 21, all sorts of legalities change the picture.  At 20 you should still be able to do it free.  

I think some states even let you "jump into" their programs, even if you're not a resident there.  So if you don't find one in your home state, try another one.  Google "department of education" and whatever state.  Get a phone number for that department and go from there.

If you meant a college diploma, well there are some options.  If you join the service or ROTC, you can go to college for free.  My roommate did this and she is the ONLY person I ever knew in college who actually had extra cash!  Some churches (Latter Day Saints for one, I think) also send people to college in the hopes that you will serve their community.  In my hometown, a business that serves the agricultural community send its employees to college in exchange for X amount of years with them--getting paid all the while, too.

Do you mean your high school diploma? If so, do you just want to get your diploma? Or do you mean you want to finish high school?

If you want to finish high school, you can just go ahead and do that by yourself at home. If you want some sort of external recognition for finishing high school, check out the distance education providers in your locale. If you just want a diploma so you can hang it on the wall, look at it and feel all warm and fuzzy inside, buy (or make) yourself one.

To do it free, you have two choices.

1)  Get a scholarship.  Don't know of any available for on-line studies.

2)  Marry rich and let your mate pay for it.
