  1. No, you are not.

I very much doubt you will even be the oldest there - not by several decades. And if you are, so what? You'll be the same age as many of the graduate students, as far as socialising out of class goes.

  2. Goodness, no.  You might want to choose a university with a higher number of nontraditional students, but at least here in the U.S., we have some universities at which the average age of entering students is 27 or 28.

  3. No! I know plenty of older students--one who is 25 and has just completed his first year of university. My brother is 21 and still hasn't begun his undergraduate degree, but plans to. Furthermore, there are a lot of scholarships available for older students that aren't available for younger undergrads (at least at my university). A good site to check out for those is studentawards.com. Another great thing about university is that students tend to be quite open-minded. They'll be very accepting of you, and when you think about it, it's really only the difference of a few years. Not significant in the grand scheme of things. Education should be a life-long thing, not something to be pursued for only four years. Congratulations on choosing to continue yours. Good luck!

  4. Noooo!!! Of course you're not too old.  I've been at university many years now - still studying and plan to quit just  before retirement lol.  Once I met a 90 year old lady who decided to become a student - 24 is nothing.  You'll find people like yourself and older and noone will be surprised by that.

  5. At 23 I moved to the United States from the United Kingdom and became a freshman at MSCD (Metropolitain State College of Denver) before transfering to UC (University of Colorado).

I too thought that not only was I going to be a little too old to be a freshman in college but that I was also a little too "set in my ways" since I hadn't attended any for of educational institution since I was 16. Little did I know, that I would be nowhere near he oldest person in any of my classes. Granted some students were fresh out of high-school while others were just like myself. There was much older students who were either looking to change their career path or who simply wanted to educatate their-self. So believe me, at 24 you will not be the oldest in your classes.

Since then, I graduated from UC with a Bachelors in Business Management and a 2nd bachelors degree in Psychology. Furthermore, I am still in the educational system as I am currently in my 3rd year of law school at D.U. (Denver University).

Age really isn't an issue. Enjoy your time at school and just remember, the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, in the long run.

    Good luck.

  6. I am a senior student and I have a classmate who is 26, he still persevered with his education. I don't see any shame or embarrassment to study with youger fellow students, at least you have courage to do it.

    Go ahead!

  7. I'm finishing next week... I'm 26...

then I'll be attending another school for an engineering degree...    your never to old to educate yourself, don't worry about it and be proud that you have the opportunity to actually do it.
