  1. of course! a person is never to old or too young to follow their dreams! if thats what your heart really desires then go for it! GOOD LUCK!

  2. It's a bit late but you can try.

  3. It's never too late to dance! I'm now 23, a graphic artist, freelance art instructor and I am saving up to enroll in one of the dance classes here in my country. Although I am not dreaming of becoming a professional, I want to be good, specifically in ballet jazz. They have schools here that accept adults so I am not losing my faith.

One of my inspiration is David Zurak, a member of the Martha Graham Dance Company, took his first dance class when he was 23.

You may search for his name in the net to know more. I wish you well and have a nice day.

  4. I gave it a shot at age 26, and there simply was not a dancefloor wide enough...

  5. Arthur Murray dance studios (www.arthurmurray.com), a company that specializes in teaching all kinds of dance (think ballroom, latin, country western) are all over the world, and I just found out that they hire people who have little to no dance experience to become instructors.  A prospective instructor must go through at least 8 weeks of their own training (which is FREE to you).  They hire based on an outgoing and fun personality, capability to dance (not THAT important, they told me, which is strange), and ability to teach.  If you pass the training successfully, they start you off part-time and, as you build clientele and learn more skills, you may be able to graduate to full-time status.  Initially, it doesn't sound like something to pay the bills, but if you stick with it and become good at teaching, you may have an enjoyable career ahead of you.  They also told me that in the future, you may be able to travel with the company and become involved in management.

The other perk with working for this company is that once a week (usually Friday nights, I believe), they have a special event for all of the students--nights out on the town, musical parties, and other practice socials.

I am 25 years old and never thought to do this as a career until now.  I start my training on Monday and am so excited!

Definately look into it!  Good luck!

  6. What kind of dancer? Exotic, ballet? More info is needed. Most of the gals I knew who were professional (non nude) dancers all majored in dance at college.
