Hai friends,I am from India,I passed my intermediate exams wayback in 2001 ofcourse with a ninety plus percentage. Then I was not so sound economicwise.I managed to join a bachelors engineering programme in India. But rather unfortunately I got sick and was forced to leave the course midway due to frequent hospitalisation. Now I am back to my normal. But now I feel that I need a change of environment and Iam tempted to do my bachelors degree in some nice country abroad.I am financially sound enough to sponsor my studies now.Is it wise of me to do such a thing? Am I eligible to apply for the courses?

I am totally depressed and all I want is that I need a change and restoration of my education.

What all procedures should I follow?

How much will be the annual expense if am to choose US?

Which country would be cheapest as far as the expense and tuition fee is concerned?

  1. Annual expenses at colleges and universities in the US vary a lot. The best thing to do is to pick out a few that sound interesting and check out the tuition on their websites. It's usually pretty easy to find. Just as a rough estimate, you're probably looking at $20,000-$30,000 a year for tuition alone-- although you can definitely find colleges for more and less than that.

Check out University Language Services at http://www.universitylanguage.com for more info about attending a US university.

    Best of luck!

  2. If you want to study in another country, other than India, it would be a good idea to decide what you want to study. Then go on-line to check out different schools that offer the studies you are looking for, in each country. Make notes. Once you have nailed down a few schools and countries, then contact them for the requirements to begin your studies. They will also have someone on staff there that will help you answer your questions on attendance by foreign students, ie. visas, cost of living, cost of study, housing etc. Most universities, here in Canada have people on staff to help you through the process. They even help you get a student visa, which will allow you to work during your summers to help pay for your studies. Check it out, and good luck!

  3. Hi there, of course you can go to school somewhere else. You should decide what you want to study and where. There are a lot of options in US. You should really get to work if you want to apply for Fall 08.
