I am 30 weeks pregnant and my nipple are much more pale than usual--why?

I'm not sure if my iron levels would affect this, but just to rule it out, I am taking an iron supplement, my levels are normal, and I am not anemic.

My nipples were becoming steadily darker until about a week ago and now they appear quite pale. Has anyone ever experienced or heard of this?

My nipples were paler for several days a couple weeks ago, but then turned darker again.  I don't know for sure, but I don't think it's anything you should be worried about.  If they are still pale after the holiday weekend and you are concerned, call your doc.

I have never experienced this and I'm 30wks 6days pregnant.
