  1. What happen to you is what happen to a very close friend of mine. All you can do first is know what is your real mothers name.Go to Thai embassy and tell them your concern. Then go to Udon Thani ask them if they know your mother. When you find out about your mother then ask her who is your father.Because I regret to inform you that Thais are like that. They hate responsibility and forget their sons and daughters.Their life is only important to them.Just like my Thai husband.Learn their language and culture then live for a while in Thailand.Hire a detectives then hopefully you can have answers to your questions.

  2. join the party, i'm 40 and i also know my birth mother's name and age. i even know the details of my birth. i went to the agency that handled my case. they told me basic information. i could get more if i was willing to pay them $300. (i think not!)

geesh, i have to pay to find out about myself?

  3. I'm not sure about how international adoptions work; however, many biological parents make it to where their children, who they put up for adoption, can get their contact information from the adoption agency once they turn 18+.

So you should start by contacting the adoption agency or look in a local directory and search under the parent's name you do have.

  4. it heavily depends on WHERE your adoption was finalized. The states or thailand.

that effects everything you do. Can you edit your post and let me know, then I can find you some information....if it was finalized in the states. At the least I can point you to other thailand adoptees searching if it was finalzied in thailand.

oh but wait! YOU HAVE HER NAME!!!!! thats HUGE!!! Thats like the HARDEST STEP.

    congratulations!!!!

I would try and do some type of name and address finders in thailand if such thing exists....

try here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thailandad... and see if they can help you. Its for adopters and adoptees, so maybe you can find an adoptee to help you there.

  5. You may want to post your question on the Thailand site of Yahoo!Answers.  The link should be at the bottom of this page.

    Good luck to you.
