  1. Maybe they are thinking multiples.  How fun!

  2. I wouldn't be too concerned.  I measured 2 weeks ahead my entire first pregnancy, and my son was born right on his due date.  Of course he was a little bigger than average (8 lbs 12 oz) but I just attribute that to the oreos and ice cream I craved the entire pregnancy!  It could be the way the baby was sitting while you were being measured, or the baby could have had a little growth spurt.  I wouldn't worry though - the dr won't let the baby get too big for delivery, and the u/s will provide more accurate info on how big the baby really is.  I have heard of dr's saying mom's were measuring big, the baby is huge, etc - inducing them, only to have the baby come out 6-7 lbs!

  3. i wouldnt worry i measured big as well (son weighed 10 lbs 2 oz born 1 week before due date) the ultrasound is probably to see how big the baby is and if the reason you are measuring big is the baby or maybe extra amniotic fluid. dont worry it will be fine

  4. Usually nothing to worry about.  Do you have Gestational Diabetes?  If so, that could be a problem.  Or maybe your due date is a bit off.

  5. Don't worry.  He's being cautious which is good.

You know, the docs don't always get the due date right, and this

could just mean your little one might be ready before they thought

    he/she would be.

The ultrasound will tell them so much info...I would be glad he

suggested it. They changed my son's due date 4 times!!

  6. I'm on my fifth ultrasound because I'm measuring big!lol but everything is fine they checked me for diabetes but i was fine im just having a big baby which means i probably will deliver earlier than expected they don't want her to get to big!
