I am 37 weeks pregnant and have pain in my groin ?

I also have back spasms and pain in my thighs once in a while. The groin pain feels similar to what it feels like when my husband is inside of me. This is my first pregnancy and I am a little scared because I have epilepsy and gestational diabetes. Could I be experiencing contractions or perhaps its just my cervix dilating. Bottom line I need to know if this is normal or something to worry about.

im 37 weeks also and iv been feeling the same thing i was in the hosptial on saturday becuase it was so bad i couldnt walk my dr told me it was normal, as long as your not having contractions i would say everything is ok good luck we are almost to the end!!

I had the same thing and it feels like a knife being stabbed below your crotch. I asked  my doctor about it and he explained it could be one of two things, since my baby is so low it could be her trying to move her head down there which hurts because of all the pressure. Or 2nd it could be my cervix ripening... So you should be okay, but if you get too worried about it I would call your doctor b/c my friend had the same pain and she was in labor...
