Well it depends on what style you want to learn, I don't think you would enjoy hip hop classes because they're generally for more younger people, thats not to say that you can't still go to a adult hip hop class, umm try ball room, or jazz, if your interested in learning hip hop start with the basics, such as glides, moon walk  and heel toe.

small steps,  then gradually make them bigger,  nobody cares if your bad or good ( they shouldn't ) at least you like to dance .  and you'll live longer in life if you do

Well I think hip hop is the easiest to begin with...

Just let yourself do what you want and don't hesistate about any dance moves that you are doing.
