I'm a 27 y/o F and I exercise 1- 2 hours EVERY day. Even if I'm on vacation. I eat approximately 900-1400 calories/day. I've been doing this routine for almost 4 years. The only time I dropped weight was when I was abusing laxatives. It's like my body doesn't want to be thin. I take really good care of myself. I've done low-calorie...low-fat...low-carb...all of them together. The only thing is, I have Polycystic ovaries, but I'm on Metoformin which is supposed to control the symptoms. I've been tested for hypothyroidism and diabetes. Negative. What else can I do? This affects my social life and my relationship with my husband because I am self conscious of the way I look. I'm very curvy: measurements are 34 28 38. I will take whatever advice I can get!!!

  1. I don't think that you need to lose weight.  A lot of that is probably muscle.  You're measurements are great!  Some people just aren't going to be a size 0 or 2.  You can't change the size of your frame.  You are NOT fat or overweight.  I had those same exact measurements when I was 5' 3 and 120 lbs. I had a 28" waist and 38" hips.  So you're the same size as me, just with more muscle tone probably.  Don't pay attention to the number on the scale.  It's all about how you look and feel.

  2. Have you asked a doctor?  Make sure you are eating enough protein, calcium, iron, carbs, vitamins, etc. in those 900-1400 cals.  That doesn't sound like enough calories to me.  What are you doing when you work out?  Make sure you switch up your routine and make sure you weight lift.

  3. I don't really see a problem. Your measurements of 34-28-38 don't even sound like you'd be 140lb, more like 130lb tops.

Eating under 1200 calories a day is very unhealthy and doing that for 4 years is setting your body up for long term damage.

Perhaps the extra weight is not fat, but bone or muscle. You should get your body fat percentage tested.

  4. I don't understand, what you have been doing should be keeping weight off of you. It is possible that some medications you are taking are keeping the weight on you. I'm sorry, medication is the only thing I can think of, you are doing everything right....

  5. You sound good to me.

  6. who are you wanting to please yourself or husband...if you are not diabetic you are probably healthy!  This will take you further than being slim...

  7. If you have curves thats normal to weigh that. And don't bag about yourself to your husband it will make him get tired of you.
