  1. Let's see. I'm 5'7" and weigh a bit less than you do. I ride a Harley Softail Deuce. That's over 1500 cc- but it was hardly my first bike.

The size of the engine isn't what matters. It's your experience and ability to ride the bike. If you have to ask the question, it leads me to believe you are a novice rider. Start smaller. It has nothing to do with your size- it's your ability.

  2. somehow i doubt you're going to listen but do not get a 600 or anything bigger fora  first bike... there are countless reasons why not i won't waste my time repeating them when it's so easy to find why...

ESPECIALLY at your size.... i often suggest beginers 6 foot and over/250 pounds over start on a kawasaki ninja 500... you're not even close to that.... get a ninja 250... (or the gsxr equivelant in cc's, i duno that much about suzuki, i dont' really like them.)

THERE IS ALOT OF POWER wraped up in crotch rockets... just becuase someone needed a 500 shadow doesn't mean they'll need a 500 ninja....

  3. suzuki is a good bike for you because it has the lowest seat level and you might feel more comfortable in slow maneuvering situations.  However, your height and weight does not affect what size motorcycle you should buy.  Skill and riding experience is the only factor when choosing a bike.  if you have no experience at all look at a ninja 250cc.  If you want a little more and are only riding it in the city then a 600cc series will be perfect.  1000cc motorcycles in my opinion are to heavy and unnecessarily fast.  However, if you do get a 750 then you will never really need to buy a new motorcycle because you out grew its performance. just be very careful when taking it out

  4. physical size doesnt matter all that much, but ability does

  5. No, that is way too big for you.  Get a 350

  6. height & weight have nothing to do with ability..  buy a 250 & learn to ride first...

big bikes & newbie riders keep the organ donor people happy at least..

  7. You should be fine. If it's your first bike, I would lean toward the 600 or even something smaller though. I just rode a friend's '06 GSXR750, What an insanely fast machine!

    GREAT BIKE!

I just think it would be a little too much for a new rider.

It's just my opinion though. My buddy who has the bike was a new rider, and he survived it, though he did loop it and cause major damage to himself and the bike shortly after getting it. As soon as he learned his lesson and started respecting the bike, he has never had another problem.

Good luck, and if you are a new rider, welcome to the sport.
